They are written to entertain young readers with American History. They do this by asking questions that would help children really "feel" that moment in history.

What would your family bring in their covered wagon?
How would you cross rivers when there were no bridges?
Where would you sleep?
How would you go to school during the trip?
These are great interactive and thought provoking books about our past.
